Barcelona Casa Asia screening Iranian films

A selection of 10 Iranian films by new-generation Iranian filmmakers is screening at the Casa Asia Filmfest in Spain.

The Barcelona-based center promoting Spain’s relations with Asian countries is screening the films until February 7, the center has announced.

Among the films to be screened at the festival include ‘Bench Cinema’ by Mohammad Rahmanian, ‘Sara & Aida’ by Maziar Miri, ‘Mina’s Option’ by Kamal Tabrizi, ‘A House on 41st Street’ by Hamidreza Qorbani and ‘The Dream of Water’ by Farhad Mehranfar, among others.

The Casa Asia Filmfest in Spain has been co-organized by Iran’s Farabi Cinema Foundation and Cultural Office in Spain.

The program was launched as a film week in Spain, but was soon turned into a festival.

This year’s event started in Barcelona’s Cinemes Girona on Saturday.
